Holter ECG and Blood Pressure Holter Monitoring
The term “cardiac Holter” refers to a diagnostic tool that allows for the evaluation of the heart muscle’s electrical activity over a significant period. Essentially, a cardiac Holter is a dynamic electrocardiogram that records heartbeats over a 24- or 48-hour period.
When is an ECG Holter recommended?
The examination is recommended by a cardiologist when it is necessary and appropriate to thoroughly investigate a patient’s cardiac activity. Through this diagnostic tool, it is possible to detect potential rhythm disturbances.
Typically, these disturbances occur alongside symptoms that might indicate a heart condition. Certain signs, such as arrhythmias, palpitations, dizziness, and loss of consciousness, can suggest a heart issue and lead the doctor to prescribe accurate monitoring using an ECG Holter. EUROHOLTER by LUMED is a next-generation system that records 3/12 channels for up to 7 days without any loss in quality.
EUROHOLTER 3/12 Channel Holter Systems can be used to assess the effectiveness of ongoing pharmacological treatment or to check the proper functioning of previously implanted devices like pacemakers or implantable cardioverter defibrillators. It is available in two models: the 12-view model, which records for 24 to 48 hours, and the 2-view model, which records for the same duration or up to 7 days.
EUROHOLTER ABPM monitors blood pressure at an ambulatory level, quietly and precisely. It is an oscillometric recorder that uses standard cuffs with flexible tubing, which allows for quick inflation and deflation of the air chamber, ensuring comfort and quality for the patient.
EUROHOLTER LUMED® Line
The EUROHOLTER 3/12 Channel Holter Systems offers high-resolution monitoring and includes a special button that the patient can press if they feel the onset of any symptoms. By doing so, at the end of the examination, the doctor can cross-reference data by overlaying the patient’s sensations with the recorded tracing, obtaining an accurate picture of the situation. Additionally, it features a graphic display, a tool-free patient cable, and the ability to program recordings on a USB port or memory card.
The various models of Euroholter LUMED® share the same algorithms and cardiac monitoring functions, which are carried out with a portable device consisting of electric wires and adhesive electrodes placed on the chest by a doctor. Once connected, the device can record and store cardiac activity. The individual models differ by the number of terminals and recording duration.
EUROHOLTER ABPM includes advanced software for managing analysis functions and validating recordings, from pulse and blood pressure trends to a detailed analysis of individual measurements. The operational modes include four options: fixed, auto, sleep, and customized.
